Symptoms
When using UCP 11.2.0.4.0 or 12.1.0.1.0 with RAC 11.2.0.4.0 server, FCF does not work. To observe the problem, either turn on UCP logging or obtain FCF statistics after an injected outage. The log would show the received FAN event as invalid; and the statistics string would show no FCF processing has taken place.
UCP throws java.sql.SQLRecoverableException as follows:
Scenarios:-
The issue reproduces with both UCP 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.1.
The JDBC version is not relevant to reproduce it.
UCP 12.1.0.1 + JDBC 12.1.0.1 -> Y(reproduced)
UCP 12.1.0.1 + JDBC 11.2.0.3 -> Y
UCP 11.2.0.4 + JDBC 11.2.0.3 -> Y
UCP 11.2.0.3 + JDBC 11.2.0.3 -> N
target DB is 11.2.0.4 in all cases above.
