OAAM OTP Registration decline Button Enabled and Displayed, but not functioning (Doc ID 1680301.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Adaptive Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After display and enable DECLINE buttom for OAAM OTP Reg. User still prompted to Reg.

Expectation Display of button is configured.

Setting Up OTP Anywhere

You seem to have set the properties correctly...

bharosa.uio.default.otp.optOut.enabled=true
bharosa.uio.default.register.userinfo.decline.enabled=true
bharosa.uio.default.userpreferences.userinfo.enabled=true

and the expectation is ..." If he chooses to decline registration of an OTP profile, he will not be asked again to register OTP,"

Further: ENABLE button via UMS

You would have configured the UMS of OAAM ( User Messaging Service). Out of the box, OAAM provides User Messaging Service (UMS) as the delivery method.

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/admin.1112/e27207/otp.htm#autoId14

Now you would ahve configured all in the parameters in that doc link...

2. Enable Opt Out button

 I would like you to add another one or validate that is is present: and set to true. in the same UMS properties you have accessed above.

 Enable OTP Opt out feature:

1. bharosa.uio.default.otp.optOut.enabled=true (the datatype isDatabase)
 .
2) Restart OAAM Server

3) Login to OAAM Server

4) Continue through registration until OTP registration and click decline.

5) Logout

6) Login again, user should not be prompted for OTP registration again.

The end user has opted out but still is prompted to register.... why may this be?
