The GroupSpaceURI EL evaluates to "/spaces/portalName" Instead of "/portal/portalName" Leading to Incorrect Navigation in WebCenter Portal
(Doc ID 1680357.1)
Last updated on MARCH 12, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.8.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The groupSpaceURI EL evaluates to "/spaces/<PORTALNAME>" instead of "/portal/<PORTALNAME>".
The resulting navigation using the /spaces/Portal URL doesn't redirect to the first page in the Portal as expected.
For example,
Having 2 navigation items in the page:
- Page1
- Documents Page Link
If you access the Portal using the /spaces/<PORTALNAME> URL it will always land in the Documents page.
If you access the Portal using the /portal/<PORTALNAME> URL then it will go to the first page in the Portal, in this case it will go to Page1 as expected.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the groupSpaceURI EL to evaluate to "/portal/" +
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Create a portal.
e.g.: PortalTest1
While creating the Portal add a page. e.g. Page1
- Enable the Documents service.
- Add a link to Documents System page.
- Delete the Portal's home page.
- Create a Navigation using the EL groupSpaceURI and associate the navigation to the Portal.
- Navigate using the groupSpaceURI.
You will see it takes you to the Documents Page in the Portal instead of the first navigable page (Page1 in this case).
- Access the Portal using the following URLs:
You will see this takes you to Page1 in the portal as expected.
You will see this takes you to the Documents page in the portal (not expected).
