OAM11gR2PS2: Adding "SUPPLEMENTARY_RETURN_ATTRIBUTES" to oam-config.xml Has No Affect on How the Attributes Are Fetched from LDAP Server (Doc ID 1682642.1)

Last updated on MARCH 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In earlier versions of Oracle Access Manager (OAM) as noted in knowledge management note 1510124.1, OAM could be configured to prefetch ldap attributes for the
user during authentication.

This was done by configuring the property "SUPPLEMENTARY_RETURN_ATTRIBUTES" in oam-config.xml file and resulted in reducing the number of ldap searches to the
backend ldapserver during authorization.
However, with OAM having this property in oam-config.xml still results in several ldap searches as user attributes are not fetched during authentication.
