OUD Error Message: "You do not have sufficient privileges to perform an unindexed search"
(Doc ID 1684222.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 12, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.2.1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
To resolve the error - "You do not have sufficient privileges to perform an unindexed search"
For example, when authenticating as cn=<ODI_ADMIN>,cn=Registered Instances,cn=Directory Integration Platform,cn=Products,cn=OracleContext the following error message is generated:
[01/Jun/2014:19:53:43 +0200] SEARCH REQ conn=NNNN op=1 msgID=2 base="ou=people,dc=<SUFFIX_DN>" scope=sub filter="(orclopenldapentryuuid=<UUID>)" attrs="ALL"
[01/Jun/2014:19:53:43 +0200] SEARCH RES conn=NNNN op=1 msgID=2 result=50 message="You do not have sufficient privileges to perform an unindexed search" nentries=0
This message applies when the user runs a query against the OUD instance that returns a large number of entries (or if some of the search filters use indexes where the amount of index values exceed the index-entry-limit, by default - 4k), resulting in an unindexed search.
Currently user cn=<ODI_ADMIN>,cn=Registered Instances,cn=Directory Integration Platform,cn=Products,cn=OracleContext does not have the unindexed-search privilege.
