Last updated on FEBRUARY 27, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Unable to connect to OID server. All commandline attempts fail with "Cannot connect to the LDAP server"
A review of the OID logs in Oracle_Instance/diagnostics/logs/OID/oid1, you may find the oidldapd process dies and restarts over and over (many oidldapd01sXXXX.logs created with different PID #s, indicating that OID is dying and restarting. Also oidldapd_stack files generated.)
OID may work for a few moments once is first starts up but then begins to fail.
Found only the following messages in the oidldapd logs:
BEGIN
ConnID:0 mesgID:2 OpID:1 OpName:search ConnIP:::ffff:<IP ADDRESS> ConnDN:Anonymous
