How To Setup OID (pre 10g versions 2.1.1, 3.0.1, 9.0.2 and 9.2 Only) for Extended Tracing (Doc ID 185466.1)

Purpose

This document provides the steps necessary to obtain extended tracing information from the Oracle Internet Directory processes.

Scope

This procedure should be used by the Oracle Internet Directory administrator when debugging OID operations that are failing or producing undesired results.

If this is a production server and cannot be restarted see for instructions on setting the debug level dynamically.

This note is applicable to OID versions 2.1.1, 3.0.1, 9.0.2 and 9.2 Only.

It is not appropriate for OID version 9.0.4.0 or above. For OID 10g version 9.0.4 see:
