Capture Batches Are Not Receiving Auto Populated Metadata If Released Before Expanding In Dc-client (Doc ID 1901953.1)

Last updated on APRIL 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture - Version 11.1.1.8.0 to 12.2.1.0.0 [Release 11g to 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Workspace contains one client profile and document profile. Metadata in the document profile has default values. The output format is WebCenter Content Imaging using the Input Agent commit method.

Working as expected use case:

1. Click 'capture'
2. Using 'input source', select file to import
3. Verify that batch is created
4. Expand batch to see available documents
5. Click on "Document 1"
6. Verify that document profile and metadata fields are shown in lower left pane; no need to click on anything
7. Click Release

Not working as expected use case:

1. Click 'capture'
2. Using 'input source', select file to import
3. Verify that batch is created
4. Click Release

This causes the user experience to slow down since each batch must be expanded in order to apply document profile and related metadata fields, rules, & values.
