Goal

Oracle Access Manager (OAM) has been configured to protect an application.

If a protected application page is accessed, the user is redirected to the default OAM SSO login page and after submitting valid credentials the application page is displayed.

How to allow for the following cases:

a) Direct access to an application page that allows a username and password to be entered and the page will submit them directly to OAM Server. No previous redirect to OAM login page due to accessing a protected resource.
b) Display of a more detailed error message when authentication fails. For example "An incorrect username or password was specified" instead of simply "Authentication Failed".
