How to Upgrade OIF 10g and 11gR1 Environments To OAM 11gR2 Identity Federation

Requirement: to upgrade / migrate an Oracle Identity Federation (OIF) 10g or 11g Release 1 (11gR1 11.1.1.x) environment to Identity Federation Service in Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g Release 2 (11gR2 11.1.2.x).
Fusion MiddleWare (FMW) 11gR1 (11.1.1.x) is the final release where OIF will be available for installation/configuration as a standalone component of FMW Oracle Identity Management (IDM) suite.
Oracle Identity Federation server has been built into OAM product as from OAM 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.x). OAM is the Oracle SSO solution provided in the FMW Identity and Access Management (IAM) suite installation.
- OAM 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206 provides only Service Provider (SP) functionality
- OAM 220.127.116.11 and later provides both Identity Provider (IdP) and Service Provider (SP) functionality
