Golden Gate : Maintain Replication Flow Through A Resetlogs (Doc ID 1902780.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 10, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version to [Release 11.2 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

GoldenGate is implemented in a downstream integrated extract config (archived redo logs being shipped to mining server from source DB). One source DB, one Target DB, unidirectional. We are migrating the source DB to a new datacenter. We will ship the backup to the new server, restore and recover. We will shutdown all our applications, take the final incremental, and let all the logs flush through the GG extracts and replicats to EOF. Since we are migrating to a new server, we will need to open the database with resetlogs and our sequence numbers will start over. What is the supported/best practice way to resume the replication through this resetlogs?
