Event Mini View Does Not List All-day Events of Today

Symptoms
Event Mini View taskflow lists upcoming schedules and all-day events.
The task flow displays scheduled events of today and in near future, and all-day events in near future. However, it does not show any all-day events of today. (e.g. On July 7th, it does not show all-day event occurring on July 7th, only all-day events from July 8th and after)
Note: "How many future days the taskflow checks" is defined in "List Events in Number Of Upcoming Days" parameter of the Event Mini View taskflow (default value is 30 (days)). <Document 1557970.1> reports a known problem in its workings in WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.6.5+ and 11.1.1.7.x.
Also, note that <Document 1557970.1> provides a work around while awaiting a fix to a known product bug. However, the symptoms in this article are reported in an instance where problems reported in <Document 1557970.1> are resolved/worked around.
