In Oracle AS when invoking a WebService over SSL from Oracle SOAP library there is a strong dependancy on oracle.security.ssl.OracleSSLCredential which produces exception

oracle.classloader.util.AnnotatedNoClassDefFoundError Missing class: oracle.security.ssl.OracleSSLCredential

The code fails when the oracle.soap.transport.http.OracleSOAPHTTPConnection.getHTTPConnection method tries to create object of oracle.security.ssl.OracleSSLCredential to initiate a SSL Connection.

This happens because Oracle Java SSL Libraries are not visible from the Oracle SOAP shared libraries classloader .

The exception thrown is

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/security/ssl/OracleSSLCredential
