How to Set Content Metadata Derived from a Framework Folder when Checking in from the New Check-in Page, Using Rules (Doc ID 1905550.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Framework Folders inheritance functionality is such that any content items when checked-in by browsing to the folder - New - Content Item , will set the same metadata for the content as well . This is not true when users are checking in content items from "New Check In - Standard Check-in" and selecting any folders .

In the above scenario , even though the folder is selected , folder metadata are not set to the content items .

This article describes the steps to achieve the above requirement , here Account metadata is used as example .
