Producer Registration With WSRP 2.0 Protocol Fails In Upgraded Environment (Doc ID 1907596.1)

Symptoms

Registration of producer with protocol WSRP 2.0 fails in an  upgraded Oracle Portal 11.1.1.6 environment with the following errors in the UI :

java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.webdb.wsrp.client.BaseHTTPClientTransport.invoke(Unknown Source)
at oracle.j2ee.ws.client.StreamingSender._sendImpl(StreamingSender.java)
at oracle.j2ee.ws.client.StreamingSender._send(StreamingSender.java:110)
at oracle.webdb.wsrp.v1.runtime.WSRP_v1_ServiceDescription_Binding_SOAP_Stub.getServiceDescription(Unknown Source)
at oracle.webdb.wsrp.client.design.v1.OraWSRP_v1_ServiceDescription_PortType.getServiceDescription(Unknown Source)
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
at HTTPClient.URI.(URI.java)
at HTTPClient.URI.(URI.java)

Registration through the WSRP 1.0 protocol succeeds.

Changes

 The environment has been upgraded from release 10.1.4.2
