BPM 11g: Case Form UI Data Tab is Empty

You generated the Case Form UI from the case "Data and Documents" tab and the ADF application was successfully generated. After redeploying the application, you go to the case view and then click on "Data". The case UI loads up but it doesn't show any data. It seems like the data controls don't have any data even though the ACM instance was successfully created and can be accessed from an ACM activity.
