Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In Oracle Internet Directory (OID), a user tried to login multiple times but denied due to invalid credentials.

The symptoms are that OID goes to a lock state.

Question 1: How to use LDAP query to check the locked account in OID instead of that java code ?

Question 2: How to check the users who are about to get locked under this condition (e.g., number of failed attempts are 6 to 8 where maximum allowed failed attempts is 9).
