In tmadmin Session The printservice(psc) Command Wrongly Reports "IDLE" For Current Service As Soon AS The IPC Message Queue Is Full (On The Next Request Would Exceed OS Size Limitation: 64K)
(Doc ID 1911156.1)
Last updated on JUNE 20, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Tuxedo - Version 12.1.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
As soon as IPC Message Queue size associated to an applicative server reached the Size OS limit (generally 64K) the printservice (psc) in tmadmin reports IDLE instead of accurate service name.
If there is the same load on the server with a native Tuxedo Client instead of SALT request the psc continues to report the current active service name even the Message Queue limit is reached.
