After Adding "-Doracle.webcenter.spaces.osso=true" in setDomainEnv.sh, Deployments Failed Access Denied in Logs For WebCenter Portal (Doc ID 1912227.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.8.0 to 11.1.1.8.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Configuring WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 for SSO breaks WebCenter.
Following 15.7.1 of the 11.1.1.8 Enterprise Deployment Guide(EDG) and added the following to the setDomainEnv.sh script:

EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES="-Doracle.webcenter.spaces.osso=true ${EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES}"
export EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES

After this, the WebCenter domain does not start and the log shows:

access denied ("oracle.security.jps.JpsPermission" "AppSecurityContext.setApplicationID.null")

Many of the deployments are also in a failed state in the WLS console.

After reverting the setDomainEnv.sh file to the backup file, everything works again.
