The current version of OIC ( Oracle Instant Client ) libraries, that are bundled with Studio 12.3 installer is 11.2.0.2.
The package names for OIC libraries are SPRO-12-3-oic and SPRO-12-3-oic-libs. See the output below,
$ /usr/bin/pkginfo -i | grep SPRO-12-3-oic
application SPRO-12-3-oic Oracle Instant Client 11.2.0.2.0
application SPRO-12-3-oic-libs Oracle Instant Client 11.2.0.2.0 Runtime
You can use the GUI installer or non-GUI installer to install the Oracle Solaris Studio runtime libraries only.
Note - If you run the installer to install only the libraries, you cannot run the installer later to install additional components without first running the uninstaller to uninstall the libraries.
It is recommended that the two packages SPRO-12-3-oic and SPRO-12-3-oic-libs, if they exist on the system, should be removed as part of this manual upgrade.
