Goal
Entity tags (ETags) are a mechanism to check for a newer version of a cached file. By removing the ETag header, you disable caches and browsers from being able to validate files, so they are forced to rely on the Cache-Control and Expires header. This document is for informational purposes to provide an option to disable. Your site, application or other Oracle product may or may not be dependant on this feature.
