Oracle Forms: SSL ClassNotFoundException oracle.forms.engine.Main When Using AES 256 Cryptographic Algorithm (Doc ID 1916044.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Forms is being accessed via SSL using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256 cipher encryption algorithm. In doing so, when accessing an Oracle Forms application, the following error is shown to the end user:

 

ClassNotFoundException oracle.forms.engine.Main

 
If an encryption method not as strong is used, or Oracle Forms is not accessed using HTTPS protocol then the error is not shown and the Oracle Forms application starts fine.



Changes

 Oracle HTTP Server or WLS_FORMS managed server was configured to use AES-256 cipher algorithm.
