Java Web Start Application Presents Unexpected Security Warning when Trying to Access the MANIFEST.MF File in a Signed Jar File (Doc ID 1917000.1)

Symptoms

Java Web Start application is trying to access the Manifest file (MANIFEST.MF) of its main jar file.  The main jar file is signed with an official code-signing certificate.  As seen in the graphic which follows, the user is presented with an unexpected security warning about the application jar's manifest file:




Java SE 6 Update 65, 32-bit is used.

Changes

 With Java SE 6 Update 60, the security warning was not presented.
