(Doc ID 1917890.1)
Last updated on APRIL 26, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle GlassFish Server - Version 3.1.2 to 3.1.2 [Release 3.1]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When adding a system property to an instance that contains the $com.sun.aas.instanceName as part of its value.
For example:
<system-property name="appdatadir" value="/opt/gf31/glassfish/nodes/localhost-domain1/${com.sun.aas.instanceName}/data"></system-property>
Attempt to list the system properties for the instance using REST by accessing a url's similar to:
https://<das host>:<das port>/management/domain/list-system-properties.xml?target=i1
You will notice the system property remains unresolved:
The value should be the name of the instance. In this example, value should be "i1" not "server".
