Linux x86-64

Symptoms

Directory Server 11.1.1.7.0 on x64 Linux, running a command such as

/<DSEE_home>/dsee7/dsrk/bin # ./ldapsearch

gives the following error message

error while loading shared libraries: libz.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

installed is: rpm -q zlib
zlib-1.2.3-29.el6.x86_64
