A Process With Deadlock Error Renames the Access/Errors log File in Oracle iPlanet Web Proxy Server (Doc ID 1919568.1)

Symptoms

If MaxProcs > 1 in magnus.conf, when multiple worker processes are trying to rotate access/errors log, the error "HTTP3085:Error locking log file" intermittently occurs in a process, this process sometimes rotates (rename) the access/errors log even after the lock failed with Deadlock. The access/errors file will be renamed two times by an eligible process (got the lock) and the process with Deadlock.

The errors log will have entries similar to the one listed below:
