Last updated on JUNE 05, 2023

Applies to:

JDBC - Version 11.2.0.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Flex 3.4 web application uses JDBC OCI (thick) 11.2.0.4 driver on a Linux server to connect to an 11.2.0.4 database.
The application uses a proxy account to connect from a database to the application by running dbms_session.setrole. After the upgrade of the Oracle Client from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.4, the application experiences a massive slow down (response times in excess of five minutes).

Changes

Oracle Client upgrade from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.4.
