Symptoms

 OMQ message traffic between the OpenVMS system and a Unix system stops after receiving large messages (4 MB) from Unix system.

The following '%SYSTEM-F-IVBUFLEN" messages appear in every 10 seconds in DMQ$EVL_0011_01104.LOG once the problem occurs:
