T2P pasteConfig command Fails with java.net.UnknownHostException: temporary name resolution failure (Doc ID 1925438.1)

Symptoms

An attempt is made to clone a Fusion Middleware 11g Identity Management (IDM)  instance containing Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) and Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) using the Test to Production (T2P) movement scripts.

The following commands succeed without error:

copyBinary
pasteBinary
copyConfig

When attempting to apply the config to the target server with pasteConfig.sh the following error occurs.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Execute the pasteConfig.sh command following the T2P section of the Administration Guide.
