AD Password Sync Error: "Unknown method" (Doc ID 1926890.1)

With version, Microsoft Active Directory Password Sync Errors and the user password is not updated in OIM.

You can also successfully access the web service on OIM from the AD Domain Controller where the password is being changed.

In the OIMMain.log see an error similar to the following:

Debug [09/08/14 15:54:43] Unable to update TESTUSER. There are error messages in the searchReponse. Please check log for details

Note the error  "<faultstring>Unknown method</faultstring>" .

If looking at a Wireshark trace, you will see that this error is being returned from the OIM server.
