Goal
In an Integration environment of Intranet portal using WebCenter Spaces portal and content server, after using self signed certificates on test environment and running both portal and content server on SSL port, users reported a problem that when they tried to open a document in IE8 they would get the error “Unable To download idcplg from portal.abc.com” when clicking any document link. Although, another box showing the status of “idcplg” which being downloaded from the portal; the status always stay 0% .
Some users have reported a problem, when they tried to open a document in IE8, IE shows them certificate error and clicking on Continue (not recommended), it just stays on the page.
Is there any particular setting that we need to do on IE 8 browser so that it works?
