OUD - How to Use the "orclIsEnabled" Attribute in to Enable or Disable an Account (Doc ID 1929225.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.2.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Various Oracle applications make use of the orclIsEnabled LDAP user attribute in order to enable or disable an account, for example, EBusiness Suite or Oracle Fusion Applications.
In Oracle Internet Directory, setting orclIsEnabled=DISABLED for a user account would cause user login to fail with "Your Account has been disabled"

The orclIsEnabled attribute is supported in objectClasses "orclUserV2" and "orclIDXPerson"
In OUD adding one of these classes and setting attribute orclIsEnabled=DISABLED does not disable the account in OUD.

Can an account be enabled or disabled using the orclIsEnabled attribute in OUD?
