Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After rebuilding Oracle Internet Directory (OID) replica nodes, replication fails and all nodes show the same orclreplicaid value from an ldapsearch, e.g.:
node1- $ ldapsearch -h <OID1_HOSTNAME> -p <OID1_PORT> -D cn=orcladmin -q -b " " -s base "objectclass=*" orclreplicaid
Please enter bind password:
orclreplicaid=<REPLICA_ID1>
node2- $ ldapsearch -h <OID2_HOSTNAME> -p <OID2_PORT> -D cn=orcladmin -q -b " " -s base "objectclass=*" orclreplicaid
Please enter bind password:
orclreplicaid=<REPLICA_ID1>
node3- $ ldapsearch -h <OID3_HOSTNAME> -p <OID3_PORT> -D cn=orcladmin -q -b " " -s base "objectclass=*" orclreplicaid
Please enter bind password:
orclreplicaid=<REPLICA_ID1>
Replication log, for example for node2, shows reference to node1' replicaid:

Verified that the OID hostnames resolved correctly in DNS and /etc/hosts file.
An oiddiag report output from all nodes shows each node has the correct orclreplicaid in its corresponding root DSE entry, so the issue is only seen from ldapsearch and replication server/logs.
