ODSEE - SSH Passwordless Connection Does Not Work When Using Ldap Proxy (DPS) (Native LDAP) (Doc ID 1931634.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 10, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Solaris Native LDAP clients can connect to ODSEE Directory Proxy (DPS), which then forwards LDAP requests to Directory Server (DS).

In some cases, when trying to initiate a key-based (passwordless) SSH connection on a server that uses DPS for LDAP requests, authentication fails and password is requested.
