Authenticated Search Limit on Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g Is Restricted to 10,000 (10k) Entries Returned. Can this Setting Be Adjusted? (Doc ID 1931789.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 27, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g integrated with LDAP backends.

Able to retrieve all user entries (i.e., over 300,000 or ~300k) when searching directly against the LDAP backend.

But searching via an OVD adapter using the same LDAP backend and account for authentication with privileges to pull all users, OVD restricts the results to 10,000 (10k).

How to allow OVD to return as many entries as the backend server?

And how to allow this setting for only one account or a set of accounts?
