Goal
Tuxedo MP configuration (when you set the MODEL parameter to MP in Tuxedo ubb configuration file) master node running Tuxedo 11.1.1.2 and slave node running Tuxedo 9.1(or earlier).
If deployed on the slave node a TMS Server, built with Oracle Database client and Tuxedo libraries, with the Tuxedo ubb configuration file OPENIFNO parameter encrypted password
(specify 5 asterisks as password : "The series of five asterisks (*) in the OPENINFO
string pertains to the encrypting of a password")
The TMS server for the Oracle Database will fail to start:
- Tuxedo tmboot command output looks like:
on UATWIN2K8 -> CMDTUX_CAT:1685: ERROR: Application initialization failure
- Tuxedo ulog content on slave node:
When the passwords are switched back to text characters, all TMS Servers boot properly.
