Unable To Connect WCI Portal to MS SQL Database Server Due to Exception "set the compatibility level for current database to 80" (Doc ID 1932741.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 02, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Interaction - Version 10.3.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to run Webcenter Interaction Portal Diagnostics and/or Ptverify, the following error occurs:

FATAL: Task #1 (InitPortalObjects) step 4 failed to complete.
OpenKernel SQL exception. Verify your database is not corrupt. Try rebuilding your indexes. Report this error to Oracle Support.

  PortalObjectsFactory Initialization Failure (.NET)
RECOMMENDATION: Review the exception listed below for more details.
Since OpenKernel initialized correctly, this usually means
that the portal database is not scripted or properly configured,
or there is an installation problem related to .NET assemblies.
This may mean the search libraries are not on your path. Try
  running ptverify.

atibility level for current database to 80, using the SET COMPATIBILITY_LEVEL op

SI outer join operators (LEFT OUTER JOIN, RIGHT OUTER JOIN). In the future versi
ons of SQL Server, non-ANSI join operators will not be supported even in backwar
d-compatibility modes.
