Exalogic Kinetic Infrastructure Tools (EKIT): Set of scripts that provide common reusable command line infrastructure actions for Exalogic virtual platforms (Doc ID 1933252.1)

Last updated on MAY 25, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Purpose

This document provides instructions for downloading and installing the Exalogic Kinetic Infrastructure Tools (EKIT), a collection of tools that simplify, automate and standardize infrastructure lifecycle management within an Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud machine running Exalogic Linux virtual release.

NOTE

If upgrading from a 16xx release to the latest release it should be noted that there has been a **major** restructuring and rationalization of the json file that defines the Infrastructure to be created / processed. The json has been flattened and now represents a single Account/Tenancy within the vDC. The repeating accounts list within each of the top level json elements has been removed and the contents of the "assets" and "infrastructure" elements have been pushed to top level. In addition the command line argument associated with the various modules have been brought into alignment and hence have changed in a number of places from the 16xx release.
