OAM11gR2 : 404 Error Returns in Backend Server Log When Authorization Fails with Setting Reverser Proxy (Doc ID 1933547.1)

Symptoms

In configuring a proxy server with OAM webgate, when a user is rejected by OAM authorization policy, HTTP 404 error with oberr.cgi is shown in backend server access log.

This happens when using Apache or Oracle HTTP Server and regardless of backend server type(J2EE/Web).

Changes

The following is defined as setting of proxy.

ProxyRequests Off

<Proxy *>
  Order deny,allow
  Allow from all
</Proxy>

ProxyPass / http://backend.server/
ProxyPassReverse / http://backend.server/
