New OID 11g Replication Environment Fails to Replicate. Replication Log Error: ORA error = 1756 message = ORA-01756: quoted string not properly terminated

(Doc ID 1934644.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g, i.e., 11.1.1.7.0.

Created other environments previous exactly as this one, with the same replication configuration, and all are running fine.

On this one environment, after replication configuration, testing by creating two simple OUs entries under the users container (cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com) never replicates to the other nodes.

Replication log shows:

[2014-10-08T15:37:21-07:00] [OID] [NOTIFICATION:16] [] [OIDLDAPD] [host: myoidreplica.mycompany.com] [pid: 28427] [tid: 10] [ecid: 0000KLZl2HwFW7wawDV^6G0006wB00001O,0] ServerWorker (REG):[[

ORA error = 1756 message = ORA-01756: quoted string not properly terminated

An oidcmprec operation=compare report shows no differences for realm entries between the nodes.  An oiddiag report shows no problems or inconsistencies, and the OID Database (DB) alert log shows no related errors either.
