Symptoms

On JDBC driver version 12.1.0.2.0 ONLY, when oracle.jdbc.OracleDatabaseMetaData.getTables is used extensively, the following error occurs:

 ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

Below SQL statement is found to be opening the cursors and causing the error to eventually occur.
