When issues with the operation of SQL Developer are perceived, it is sometimes useful to enable the tool's own debugging functionality to understand what is going on "under the hood."
The debugging logs that can be produced by SQL Developer are often helpful in understanding the tool's operation, and differentiating potential tool issues and issues with the operating system and resources being used.
