Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Export and SmartExport of a Procedure using OdiSqlUnload is not exporting the -PASS parameter and its value.

The command implemented in the Procedure step being:

OdiSqlUnload "-FILE=/data/TEST" "-DRIVER=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" "-URL=jdbc:mysql://mysqlsrv:3306/webreport" "-USER=MYUSER" "-PASS=MYPASSWORD" "-FILE_FORMAT=VARIABLE" "-FIELD_SEP=," "-ROW_SEP=\r\n" "-DATE_FORMAT=yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm:ss" "-CHARSET_ENCODING=ISO8859_1" "-XML_CHARSET_ENCODING=ISO-8859-1"
select a.column_name FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS a

Looking at the content of the export XML file, you can see the "-PASS=MYPASSWORD" is missing from the OdiSqlUnload command parameters.

Note this is specific to sensitive data, not to the command used.
