Connection Pool Overload For One Datasource, But Not For Its Counterpart (Doc ID 1942484.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 17, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer reports that they have two generic data sources configured, each set for 1 starting connections and 30 maximum. JDBC requests are intended to be load balanced between the two data sources.

On the Admin Console monitoring page, DS1 is running normally, with an active connection high count of 12. However, DS2 is marked as Overloaded, even though the active connection high count is only 15 -- much lower than the expected maximum capacity of 30.
