Is it Possible to Access the Oracle API Gateway 11.1.2.3.0 Using HTTP instead of the Default HTTPS for OEM Communication? (Doc ID 1947014.1)

Goal

Setting up OAG 11.1.2.3 in preparation of migrating from an earlier version.


It was observed that the gateway and node manager communication is configured by default with https and the URL for the Oracle API Gateway Manager Console is

https://<HOSTNAME>:<ADMIN PORT>

How can the gateway communication be configured to use "http" instead of "https" in this version, as the OEM plugin requires http communication to function?
