How to Execute an Interface in ODI That Connects to HFM in a Different Environment (Doc ID 1947745.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You have multiple environments, each with its own ODI server, Foundation server etc. Each has its own work repository. You have defined contexts for each environment in each environment.

When you have logged into one of these environments, you can perform tasks that access the HFM installation for that environment, but cannot reach the HFM servers in the other environments. It is nevertheless possible to do that with Planning and Essbase. The following error message appears:

Error code: 0x80041143 [Server/Cluster is incorrectly configured. Please reconfigure your Cluster or Server connection.]

You want to be able to launch interfaces or scenarios that read from or write to HFM instances in other environments. For example, you want to access PROD from within DEV by selecting the correct context.
