Within OID, a Single Sign-On Username typically consists of a username part and a domainname part :

In specific cases it might be necessary to change the domain part to a new value. Valid use cases would be change of company name (and domain). The instructions below will allow administrators to change the domainname part in the SSO user from dc=vm,dc=oracle,dc=com to dc=acme,dc=org
