Cannot access vanity url in OHS after enabling https in OHS (Doc ID 1951007.1)

Symptoms

We have OHS in front of Sites, and want to enable delivery of vanity url from OHS over https. However, after enabling SSL in OHS we are unable to open vanity urls in OHS. An error is received in ssl.conf:

Thu Nov 13 06:27:24 2014] [crit] (20014)Internal error: WL SSL Init failed for server: (null) on 0
[Thu Nov 13 06:27:24 2014] [error] Error Initializing SSL: Return value is -2
