jrcmd Gives 'Unable to open socket file: target process not responding or HotSpot VM not loaded' as /tmp was Maxed Out

jrcmd commands like 'start_flightrecording', 'print_vm_state' fail to connect to running Java process intermittently.
The situation was encountered repeatedly, after the Java process was run for a while.

The following error message is returned reproducibly once the stituation occured:

Application used:
Oracle Service Bus on WebLogic Server

Java SE used:
java version "1.6.0_81"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_81-b08)
Oracle JRockit(R) (build R28.3.3-10-162192-1.6.0_81-20140617-2137-linux-x86_64, compiled mode)

Operating System used:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.4 (Santiago)
Linux version 2.6.32-358.23.2.el6.x86_64
