Symptoms
- Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) 12.1.2 is leaking memory over several days to the point where the OS runs out of memory
- Configuring OHS httpd.conf to access /server-status shows nothing untoward over time and netstat shows a normal level of connections
- The following is seen in the logs:
<date time> xxxxx kern.err kernel:Out of memory: Kill process <pid> (httpd.worker) score 960 or sacrifice child
<date time> xxxxx kern.err kernel:Killed process <pid> (httpd.worker) total-vm:xxxxx, anon-rss:xxxxx, file-rss:xxxkB, shmem-rss:xxxkB
